IAPSC Welcomes New Member Patrick Markham, CPP
Vice President, Caprock Consulting Group
Patrick is board-certified in security management and has been helping clients identify risks and protect their assets for over 20 years.
Identifying what a client needs, what their concerns are, being their advocate, and helping them reach their goals has been instrumental in Patrick’s success. Clients have relied on Patrick as an outsourced security expert that can be called on to assist with special projects and assignments allowing the client to use internal headcount for their normal day-to-day function. Identifying and avoiding risk before incidents occur saves time, money, and reputation.
Patrick’s first security consulting position was at Gage-Babcock & Associates. From there, he joined Kroll Schiff & Associates before SafirRosetti in 2005. He stayed at SafirRosetti through its transition to Guidepost Solutions until 2019. In 2021 Patrick joined Caprock Consulting Group with Ken George, fellow IAPSC member and firm President.
Patrick has been an active supporter and volunteer of the All Stars Project of Dallas and their Developmental School for Youth since 2014. He helps inner-city teens develop the skills needed to enter the business community.
Joining IAPSC provides Patrick with the opportunity to establish professional contacts with members and the opportunity to identify potential partners when clients ask for things that are outside his area of expertise.
Building a strong reliable network and maintaining relationships with previous colleagues is important to Patrick. He worked with Caprock President and IAPSC member Ken George years before joining their smaller firm. With the new move, Patrick has the encouragement and support to continue professional development and community engagement.
Patrick is an avid cyclist. He recently rediscovered the fun challenging aspects of single-track mountain biking. His time off biking was spent with his kids and “it’s a great way to burn off the calories from my other hobby, outdoor grilling.”
