Application for IAPSC Membership The International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC) serves you, the security consultant, by helping you grow and successfully manage your business. As a member, you’ll receive a member directory listing, partnering opportunities, and educational services from the most respected and widely recognized consulting association in the security industry. Before applying, be sure to review the Membership Qualifications and the Benefits of Membership. Annual Dues: IAPSC membership runs annually from January 1 to December 31. The annual membership dues for IAPSC members are $445 per year. If you become a member mid-year, the dues are pro-rated quarterly for the first year. Application Fee: The IAPSC membership application and review process is thorough and comprehensive, including a background investigation for each applicant. In order to help cover these costs, IAPSC charges a $250 membership application fee. Before You Begin BEFORE YOU PROCEED, please review the Membership Classifications & Fees and the Qualifications for Membership. Also, BE READY TO UPLOAD the following documents from your computer: Your Resume or Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) A copy of your letterhead stationary plus promotional materials for your business that may be available in draft or final form, such as a business card, brochure, etc. A copy of your letter(s) to your college/university requesting that they forward a true copy of your transcript to IAPSC (for your highest degree attained, only) OR verification that you currently hold one of the approved certifications. Additionally, be ready to pay the APPLICATION FEE of $250 USD, which can be securely paid by credit card at the end of the application process. Finally, please note that all applicants must submit to a BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION as part of the application process. Members must meet all the criteria for membership as defined in below. Active members may vote and serve on the Board of Directors and as an association officer. Associate Member: A person who meets all the criteria for membership except that he or she has less than two years' experience or does not derive primary earned income from providing security advice, information and recommendations to clients. Associate members may vote, serve on the Board of Directors, but may not be an association officer. Internal Consultant Member: A person in a security management position employed by an organization that does not market security services. The Internal Consultant member should be that organization’s primary security director, executive or otherwise in a management position where he or she regularly provides security advice and recommendations to his or her organization.
