Dear IAPSC Members,
In order to increase networking opportunities by area of specialty, the IAPSC Board of Directors is proud to introduce IAPSC Interest Groups.
The Interest Groups will facilitate member relationship-building across areas of specialty and interest. They will provide new opportunities for IAPSC members to survey the needs of the membership in their specialized areas and discuss current topics, best practices and guidelines, challenges members are experiencing, and trends in the industry. These groups may also be a forum for collaborating on working group projects, seminars, and networking activities.
Each Interest Group will schedule quarterly 1-hour web-based audio/video conference calls, each with a specific agenda established in advance. Members will have the opportunity to call in and participate either by phone only or by audio/video connection via the Internet.
Each Interest Group will be headed by a Chair (or Co-Chairs) and serve a one-year term, as appointed by the IAPSC President. There will also be a Committee Chair of IAPSC Interest Groups, as a member of the IAPSC Education Committee, providing support and guidance for the Interest Groups.
The Interest Groups will survey their members for agenda items, set their agendas, and develop specific projects, such as contributing to the IAPSC Body of Knowledge. Potential agenda items include discussing surveys, research studies, benchmarking, best practices, and holding seminars and networking gatherings.
Members who are interested in participating in an Interest Group will need to respond to the invitation that comes via email.
The Interest Groups being introduced are:
